The police force is your main enemy in the game. They are equipped with guns, all ranging from a SMG to a LMG. Their brute force will be sure to delay you in your heist.

Guards are the weakest enemy in the game, taking just a few shots to kill. Guards are the police already in a bank for example. They will try to catch you before you commit the crime. Guards will spot you rather slowly (With a stealth loadout), and are not too threatening.

== Private Armies ==

There are three private armies found in the game. One are the guards found in the [[Shadow Raid|shadow raid]] mission. They are the toughest guards in the game, armed with pistols and medium armor. The next army is sided with the police force. There is only one notable NPC who sides with the police. He has a SMG and minimum armor, with just a vest and a black mask on. They are weak, but do pack firepower. The last private army isn't so much an army, but a drug cartel. They are found in the heist cook off, and have no armor and only handguns.

== Normal Police ==

Normal police are the most numerous task force trying to stop you. They will go to great lengths to stop you and your crewmates from getting your payday. The first normal police officer is the simple uniformed officer. He has no armor, and can be armed with a shotgun or a pistol. He is taken down easily. The next is the swat. There are two variations of swat members. Deathwish swat members, and regular swat members. Deathwish swat only appear in the deathwish [[Difficulties|difficulty]], and he has on a black swat uniform. The regular swat has a much lighter colored uniform, and is easier to defeat.

Special police are much harder to defeat than regular police. We start off with the cloaker. The cloaker is the enemy with the highest damage attack in the game, instantly killing you, not even depending on armor. They will run up you and kick you, and they notably have green goggles. The next enemy is the bulldozer. The bulldozer has an insane amount of health. The bulldozer carries either an LMG or a shotgun. The bulldozer has different variations, all dangerous. The bulldozer also has a chestplate of heavy armor, as well as a facemask. The next special police unit is the captain. The captain has the most health in the game, and will take a full shot from an RPG to kill. He starts an assault, and once killed, the assault ends. He comes in with a riot shield and a handgun. He is also surrounded by other police members, who wear grey uniforms and also carry shields and wield handguns. They have a bit less health than the captain.
